I am crawling out of my sick bed to get ready this week to go to ‘Joisy’ for the Put Your Heart In A Book Conference. I’ve heard so many good things about this conference that I’m excited to see what it’s like for myself.
But first the writing–I’ve got a manuscript going out to an editor I pitched to at Romanticon. I’m one of those people who just doesn’t see her mistakes when editing –so I try to let the manuscript sit for a bit first, and then come back with “fresh eyes” to find those little typos that can prevent a manuscript from seeming polished.
On another note: This author is another lover of #1k1hr on Twitter. See what she has to say about the experience of writing your ass off for an hour at a time.
Sitting in a pile next to my computer on my desk are all the trading cards, bookmarks, and business cards that I brought back from Romanticon. The juicy titles, cover photos, & descriptions of erotic romance plots call out to me. I want to see which ones I might like to read but right now I don’t have time.
My treat when I get back from New Jersey is to sit and post about erotic romance books, blog sites, & authors that look enticing. Toodles!
