Harper Collins is launching a new erotic/erotic romance line through Avon!
the imprint will launch 4 ebooks a month and will also release anthologies. I like the name, I like Avon, and it’ll be interesting to see how it does. It seems like it’s geared to paranormal erotic romance. I know that Harlequin has been so successful with it’s Nocturne Cravings, one would assume Avon is following in their footsteps.
The thing that I’m curious about — and maybe you are too — is that I’ve heard NOTHING about how Avon’s first ebook imprint — Avon Impulse — is doing.
Have you heard anything? You gotta give credit to Harlequin for not fearing the big bad world of ebook publishing, but I also wonder how their endeavor with Carina press is doing.
Totally unsubstantiated gossipy whispers are that they’re not absolutely flourishing. Now we know Angela James has got to be one of the hardest working and most charismatic editors out there, so what could the problem be? Maybe they’re not offering a high enough royalty for their ebooks? It’s hard to say from the outside.
Meanwhile, I’m glad to see that there’s another venue for erotic romance in the world. But maybe publishers are casting more nets to catch the next 50 Shades of Grey. We’ll see what happens!
