This book, Tarnished, looks like Gothic-y fun in the gutter.  It’s by Karina Cooper, and it’s the first in her St. Croix Series.  

Beware though! Readers buying the first book will be left hanging at the end.  It’s a fast read that leaves you hungering for more.
